The organization behind Kalahari Conservation
Kalahari Conservation is supported by an association that provides long-term support for the establishment and development of the project.
The association creates the organizational basis for cooperation, financing and further development.
The association pursues no commercial purposes and does not seek to make a profit. It is politically and religiously neutral. The association's officers serve on a voluntary basis.
Purpose of the association
The association ensures the financing and implementation of the project in the Kalahari.
Development of a practical model that:
- the regeneration of ecosystems supports
- habitats for wildlife restors
- and at the same time economic opportunities for the local population creates
Activities
The association particularly supports:
- the planning and implementation of the project in Namibia
- the development of infrastructure in the project area
- Documentation and communication of project progress
- the development of partnerships locally and internationally
- the provision of financial resources for the projects
Financing
To pursue its objectives, the association has the following resources at its disposal:
- Membership fees
- Patron contributions and donations of all kinds
- Contributions from public or private institutions
- Project-related collaborations
- Proceeds from own activities or events
